The History of Morgan's Motor Company:
The British car producer, Morgan Motor Company, has been run by three generations of the Morgan Family. The company was first formed in 1909 and is still present today. The Morgan Motor Company was created by a man named Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan. He became the chairman in 1937 and remained the chairman of the company until his death in 1959.
Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan attended the Crystal Palace Engineering College and then began an apprenticeship at the Great Western Railway. After the Great Western Railway, H.F.S. set up a sales and services motor garage. He then began to work on a Peugeot Engine and began building a car in a workshop through the permission of a friend's father. The car was then put into production with the backing of Morgan's father.
After Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan died in the late 1959, the company was taken over by his son, Peter Morgan. Peter ran the company for over forty years, but gave up the reins shortly before his death.
Charles Morgan now runs the company, the grandson of Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan, after taking over in 2006. Morgan Motor Company is now based in Malvem, just south of Worcestershire. The cars are all hand built and are generally known as Moggies within the enthusiast's communities.
